Christ the King Novena

Christ the King Novena

This novena prepares for the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, the last Sunday of the liturgical year.

Day 1 of 9

Christ the King Novena - Day 1

Christ the King Novena - Day 1

Opening Prayer

O Christ, King of the Universe, I bow before Your sovereign majesty. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to You. I consecrate myself to Your kingly reign and ask You to establish Your kingdom in my heart during these nine days of prayer.

King of All Creation

"For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things were created through him and for him." — Colossians 1:16

Jesus Christ is King of all creation — not by election or conquest, but by divine right. He is the Word through whom all things were made. Every star, every mountain, every creature exists because He willed it into being. His kingship extends over all that is seen and unseen, and His reign shall have no end.

Prayer

O Christ the King, Lord of all creation, I acknowledge Your sovereign dominion over the entire universe. Everything I have and everything I am belongs to You. Rule over the work of my hands, the thoughts of my mind, and the desires of my heart. May all of creation give You glory — may the heavens declare Your greatness and the earth proclaim Your goodness. Extend Your reign over every corner of the world, and bring all peoples under the gentle yoke of Your kingship.

Act of Dedication to Christ the King

O Jesus Christ, I acknowledge You as universal King. All that has been made was created for You. Exercise over me all Your sovereign rights. I hereby renew the promises of my Baptism. I promise to live as a faithful Christian.

Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...

Closing Prayer

O Christ, our King, to You be glory and dominion forever and ever. May Your kingdom come in power and in grace. Reign over us, O Lord, and let the whole world know the peace and justice of Your eternal kingdom. Amen.
