The Heart That Pondered
Mary's heart was a heart of deep contemplation. Where others might have been overwhelmed by the extraordinary events surrounding the birth of Jesus, Mary pondered. She held each mystery within her Immaculate Heart, turning it over in prayer, seeking to understand God's ways.
"But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart." — Luke 2:19
The shepherds came and went. The Magi arrived and departed. But Mary remained, pondering. Her heart was a living tabernacle of contemplation, where the mysteries of God were stored, cherished, and slowly understood in the light of faith.
