Precious Blood of Jesus Novena - Day 1

Opening Prayer

O Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, I adore You with the deepest reverence. You are the price of our redemption, the fountain of mercy that cleanses the world from sin. I offer this novena in union with every Mass celebrated today, pleading the merits of Your Sacred Blood.

Blood of the Covenant

"Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, 'Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.'" — Exodus 24:8

In the Old Covenant, Moses sprinkled the blood of sacrificial animals upon the people as a sign of God's bond with Israel. But this was only a shadow of the greater covenant sealed in the Blood of Christ. The Precious Blood is the eternal bond between God and humanity — an unbreakable promise of love, mercy, and salvation that no power in heaven or on earth can dissolve.

Prayer

O Precious Blood of Jesus, Blood of the New and Eternal Covenant, bind me forever to the heart of God. I plead Your merits before the throne of the Father. Wash away my sins and the sins of the whole world. Renew in me the covenant of grace sealed at my baptism, and strengthen me to live faithfully as a child of that covenant. May Your Blood cry out to heaven on my behalf, not for vengeance, but for mercy and pardon.

Adoration of the Precious Blood

Eternal Father, I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, and for sinners in the universal Church.
