Queenship of Mary Novena - Day 1

Queenship of Mary Novena - Day 1

Opening Prayer

O glorious Queen of Heaven, crowned with stars and seated at the right hand of your Son, we approach your throne with confidence. You who reign as Queen over all creation, intercede for us before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Queen of Heaven

Mary's queenship is not an earthly title but a heavenly reality. As the Mother of the King, she is by right the Queen of Heaven and Earth. Her throne is established not by conquest but by the infinite love of her Divine Son, who crowns her with glory.

"A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head." — Revelation 12:1

The early Church Fathers recognized that as Christ is King, Mary must be Queen. Her queenship flows directly from her divine motherhood. Just as the queen mother held a place of honor in the Davidic kingdom, so Mary holds the highest place of honor in the Kingdom of God. She does not rule by force but by love, interceding constantly for all her subjects.

Prayer

O Mary, Queen of Heaven, we honor you today as our sovereign and our Mother. Your crown of twelve stars shines with the light of holiness, and your reign is one of gentleness and grace. We acknowledge your queenship and submit ourselves to your maternal rule. Govern our hearts with wisdom, protect us with your power, and lead us to the eternal kingdom where you reign with your Son forever.

Regina Caeli

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia! For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia, has risen as He said, alleluia. Pray for us to God, alleluia. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia. Amen.

Closing Prayer

O Mary, Queen of Heaven, look down upon your children with mercy and lead us to the throne of grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
