Opening Prayer

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O glorious St. Anthony, wonder-worker of Padua, you who have helped countless souls recover what was lost, we come before you with humble hearts. Intercede for us before the throne of God.

Finder of Lost Things

St. Anthony is invoked throughout the world as the patron of lost articles. Yet his intercession extends far beyond material things. He helps us find what is truly lost: our faith, our hope, our way back to God.

"'Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." — Matthew 7:7

Prayer

Blessed St. Anthony, you who found your way from Portugal to Italy, from comfort to radical Franciscan poverty, help us to find what we have lost. Whether it be a misplaced possession, a wandering soul, or our own sense of purpose, guide us back to the path of truth. Through your powerful intercession, may we recover all that sin has stolen from us and find our rest in God alone. Amen.

If then you ask for miracles, death, error, all calamities, the leprosy and demons fly, and health succeeds infirmities.

The sea obeys and fetters break, and lifeless limbs thou dost restore; whilst treasures lost are found again, when young or old thine aid implore.
