Traditionally prayed on Wednesdays and Sundays (outside of Advent and Lent).

Sign of the Cross

Opening Prayer

Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of thy love. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created, and thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray. O God, who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in his consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father

The First Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection

On the third day after his death, Jesus rises from the tomb, glorious and immortal. The stone is rolled away, and the angel announces to the women: "He is not here; he is risen, as he said." Jesus appears first to Mary Magdalene, then to the disciples, showing them his hands and his side. He says to them: "Peace be with you." Death has been conquered; sin has been vanquished. (Matthew 28:1–10; Mark 16:1–8; Luke 24:1–12; John 20:1–18)

The Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension

Forty days after his resurrection, Jesus leads his disciples to the Mount of Olives. He commissions them: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Then, lifting up his hands, he blesses them, and is taken up into heaven before their eyes. A cloud receives him out of their sight, and two angels appear, saying: "This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go." (Acts 1:6–12; Luke 24:50–53; Mark 16:19–20)

The Third Glorious Mystery: The Descent of the Holy Spirit

Ten days after the Ascension, on the feast of Pentecost, the apostles are gathered together with Mary in the upper room. Suddenly there comes from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and tongues as of fire appear and rest upon each of them. They are all filled with the Holy Spirit and begin to speak in other tongues. Peter stands and proclaims the Gospel boldly, and about three thousand souls are baptized that day. The Church is born. (Acts 2:1–41)

The Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption of Mary

At the end of her earthly life, the Blessed Virgin Mary is assumed body and soul into heavenly glory. She who bore the Son of God in her immaculate womb is preserved from the corruption of the grave. The angels rejoice as she is taken up to her place in heaven, where she continues to intercede for her children on earth. This truth was solemnly defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950. (Revelation 12:1; 1 Corinthians 15:54–57)

The Fifth Glorious Mystery: The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Having been assumed into heaven, Mary is crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth by her divine Son. She is exalted above all the angels and saints. A great sign appears in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. As Queen and Mother, she reigns in glory, interceding for all the faithful and leading them to her Son. (Revelation 12:1; Judith 15:9–10)

Final Prayer

Let us pray. O God, whose only-begotten Son, by his life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
