Welcome to My Prayer Companion ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Operator

The App and the website at myprayercompanion.org are operated by Infinite Apps, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) under KVK number 42057509, with registered office at Graan voor Visch 15707, 2132 EM Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.

1. Description of Service

My Prayer Companion is a Catholic liturgical calendar and prayer application that provides:

• A liturgical calendar with daily events, feasts, and saints
• Novena prayers and tracking
• Guided Rosary prayer with audio
• St. Bridget's 12-year devotion tracking
• A virtual shrine for lighting prayer candles
• Prayer streak tracking and devotion progress

2. Account & Authentication

• You may use certain features of the App without an account (as a guest).
• To track prayer progress, streaks, and sync data, you must sign in using your Google account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen, which will permanently remove your data from our servers.

3. In-App Purchases

• The App offers optional in-app purchases including virtual prayer candles, donations, and a one-time premium unlock.
• All purchases are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies.
• Virtual candles and donations are consumable digital goods and are non-refundable once consumed.
• The premium unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that removes ads, enables offline audio downloads, and unlocks premium candle designs.
• We do not collect or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Google Play.

4. Content

• The prayer content, liturgical calendar data, novena texts, and biblical references provided in the App are for personal devotional use.
• Content is provided in English and Tamil. Translations are provided for devotional convenience and may not be exact liturgical translations.
• Audio content (guided rosary) is generated using text-to-speech technology and is not a recording of an ordained minister or official church authority.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's backend services
• Misrepresent your identity or create fraudulent accounts
• Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

6. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its design, code, content, and audio, is the intellectual property of the App's developer.
• Prayer texts sourced from public domain Catholic liturgical sources remain in the public domain.
• You may share inspirational quotes displayed in the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

• The App will be available at all times without interruption
• Prayer content is free from errors or omissions
• The liturgical calendar data will match every regional liturgical calendar variation

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE.

9. Advertisements

• The free version of the App displays banner advertisements on non-prayer screens (calendar, devotion hub, shrine selection).
• Advertisements are never shown during active prayer, guided audio, or candle lighting experiences.
• You may remove all advertisements by purchasing the premium unlock.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For significant changes, we will notify you within the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
